Boy Scout Ranks

Ranks are vital to every scout in Boy Scouts. Ranks are steps in the journey of scouting earned by the development of skill and information regarding scouting. As you rank up in scouting, you will learn important lessons and skills that will help you forever. The first group of advancement are the learning ranks. These are Scout - First class. This is where the scout focuses most on getting to know scouting and learning all about it. The second group is Star - Eagle. These ranks are where scouts start focusing on helping others in the troop and giving back. These ranks are overall personal-development compared to the first group, which is mostly knowledge-development. One you become a member of the second group, you can sign off on requirements of ranks from the first group.
